Agreement to Terms

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms and Conditions") carefully before using Tikshif’s website or mobile application (the ”Application”), which is a platform that provides digital healthcare solutions for the patients, by allowing the patients approaching the booths of Tikshif or who have approached Tikshif through its Application to have a video conference call with the General Practitioner (“GP”) of Tikshif, who will help the patients by directing them to the relevant medical specialty in accordance with the patient’s medical condition without providing any medical consultation to the patient (“Services”).

These Terms and Conditions form a legal agreement between Dalel for Healthcare Technology Management S.A.E. (“Tikshif”, “we” or “us”), an Egyptian joint stock company, regulated under Law No. 159 of 1981, commercial registration no. (186595) and you, the individual ("you" and "your") concerning your access to, and use of the various services offered through the Application. The use of the Application constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. By using the Application, you expressly agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions, please do not use this Application.

Modifications to the Terms and Conditions

The Terms and Conditions constitute a legal agreement between you, as a visitor to the Application, and us. Tikshif may update in its sole discretion these Terms and Conditions at any time and the additional terms together with the Terms and Conditions, as amended from time to time, are collectively referred to as the “Agreement.” Accordingly, you should look at the Terms and Conditions regularly to be updated with any amendments effected on the Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to the terms of the amended Terms and Conditions, you shall discontinue to use the Application and you will be deemed to have terminated these Terms and Conditions.

Patient’s Account

In order to use the Application, you must create an account and add login information, including without limitation, username and password. You must maintain the confidentiality of your login information that you use to access the Application and you must not disclose this information to anyone. Furthermore, you agree to notify Tikshif if your password is lost, stolen, or if you are aware of any unauthorized use of your password. It is your responsibility to ensure that your personal information is not compromised due to the lack of secure equipment and/or surroundings. In case the password is lost or proven to be stolen, Tikshif will provide users with a reset password page.

Tikshif Services

In creating and maintaining this Application, we are not providing healthcare services to you, nor are we practicing medicine. Tikshif provide its Services through a GP registered with the Egyptian Medical Syndicate who shall refer the patient to a specialist doctor from Tikshif’s medical service providers’ network that matches the patient’s medical condition and symptoms without providing any medical prescription. The conversation with the GP does not substitute any physical examination, diagnosis or recommend specific treatment.

The use of our Services is not appropriate for emergencies. In case you believe that you have a medical emergency, you should directly go to the nearest emergency department at any medical establishment or call 123.

Tikshif’s role is limited to providing certain publicly available telehealth related information to you and/or facilitate your access to telemedicine and medical service providers. We do not, by creating and maintaining this Application, enter into a provider-patient relationship with you nor do we seek to do so. Tikshif is independent from the GP and from the medical service providers’ network which will be providing medical services to you and is not responsible for their acts, or omissions.

Tikshif does not engage in the practice of medicine and is not a medical service provider. The content of the Application is not considered medical advice or a substitute for diagnosis or treatment. You should always talk to a specialist for diagnosis and treatment, including information related to the medications and type of treatment that is appropriate for you.

Health Records and Appointments

Tikshif creates an electronic health record for each patient which includes the patient’s medical history, diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, allergies, radiology images, and laboratory and test results in order to make information available instantly and securely to the patient and the medical service providers’ network. You agree to the entry of your protected personal data and health information in connection with video conference with the GP into the electronic healthcare records of Tikshif. Furthermore, you agree and that your electronic health records will be shared with the relevant medical service provider from the medical service providers’ network as needed to provide treatment and to improve the quality of your care after obtaining your consent through the “Data Subject Consent Form”. The Data Subject Form will appear to you prior to carrying out any action that requires your prior consent. By using this Application and giving us your e-mail address, you give us your consent to send you information about your health, or reminders for appointments or follow up. In addition, you consent as well to communicate with you for scheduling an appointment for you with the relevant medical service provider that is suitable for your health condition.

The GP and the medical service providers from the Tikshif’s network recognize your privacy and, in accordance with the Data Subject Consent Form, will not release your information to anyone without authorization from you or as required or permitted by law.

Video Consultation

You agree to the GP to connect you via video conference during your visit to Tikshif’s booths or directly through the Application with the relevant medical service provider to your medical condition. You understand that there are potential risks to such technology, including interruptions, unauthorized access, technical difficulties, and call termination and that you are responsible for the security of your electronic device.

You understand that the GP will only provide you with general medical information without providing any specific treatment or prescription and shall recommend to you a specialist based on your symptoms. You are responsible for fully describing your medical history, conditions, and symptoms to the GP.

Your video visit will be documented in your electronic medical record and your personal and medical data will be protected in accordance with the provisions of the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.

Video conference calls are not designed, intended or appropriate to address emergency or life-threatening medical conditions and should not be used in such circumstances. In an emergency, please call 123 or go to the nearest emergency department at any medical establishment.

Representations and Warranties

By using this Application, you represent and warrant the following:

  1. You are at least eighteen (18) years old
  2. You have the legal capacity to enter into this Terms and Conditions
  3. You will comply with all the applicable laws in the Arab Republic of Egypt
  4. The information that you have provided to Tikshif is accurate and complete
  5. If any information you provide to Tikshif becomes inaccurate, incomplete or otherwise false or misleading, you will immediately notify Tikshif
Limitation of Liability

You agree to limit the liability of Tikshif and Tikshif’s employees, service providers, partners shareholders or directors for any claim, losses, costs, damages of any nature in connection with your use of the Application. You hereby waive any and all claims you may have against Tikshif, our employees, service providers, shareholders or directors for losses or damages you may incur in connection with your use of the Application.


By using this Application, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Tikshif and all of Tikshif’s officers, directors, agents, shareholders, employees, and information and service providers from any claim, demand, losses, damages, costs, and/or expenses including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out from your use of the Application, your violation of the Terms and Conditions.

Prohibited uses

In using the Application, you agree not to:

  • Send through the Application any unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, defamatory, threatening hateful or any material that can cause harm or delay to the Application, and any unsolicited advertising, solicitation or promotional materials
  • Infringe any third party’s proprietary rights
  • Violate any applicable laws in the Arab Republic of Egypt
  • Gain unauthorized access to the Application, to other users' accounts, names, personally identifiable information
  • Make available any viruses, or other computer programming routines that may damage, detrimentally interfere with, or expropriate any operation of any hardware, software, data or personal information
Protection of Patient’s Data

Tikshif highly maintains the protection of Personal Data of its patients and complies with the provisions of the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020. Personal Data shall mean and include name, surname, date of birth, address, email address, telephone No., identification No., login name, health data and financial data, account registration information, and demographic data.

Tikshif will not collect or process any Personal Data or share your Personal Data with the medical service providers’ network without obtaining your prior electronic consent through signing the “Data Subject Consent Form” by clicking “I AGREE” to the form, that will pop-up prior to carrying out any activity or service that requires your prior consent.

Tikshif may retain your information for as long as it believes necessary to comply with its legal obligations and for as long as needed to provide you with its Services. Tikshif may dispose of or delete any such information at any time, as required by law or upon your request.

Copyright and Trademarks

All content included on the Application including, but not limited to, text, photographs, video, documents, graphics, button icons, images, artwork, names, logos, trademarks, service marks, and data (the “Marks”), in any form including the compilation thereof, are proprietary to Tiskhif and protected by the Egyptian Intellectual Property Law No. 82 of 2002 and international conventions.

Tikshif respects the intellectual property rights of others, and we ask you to do the same. Tikshif may, terminate service and/or access to this Application for users who infringe the intellectual property rights of others.

Applicable Law & Dispute Resolution

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute arising in connection with this Agreement shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the Rules of Arbitration of the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration. The number of arbitrators shall be one, the place of arbitration shall be Cairo, Egypt and the language to be used in the arbitral proceedings shall be English.


This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between Tiskhif and you and shall supersede any prior agreements between Tikshif and you. Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Agreement will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Each provision hereof shall be interpreted and construed to constitute a separate Agreement. If any provision in this Agreement shall be declared invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any respect under any applicable law, the validity, legality, and enforceability of remaining provisions contained herein will continue in full force without being impaired or invalidated in any way.
